Review:
On the secluded Isle of Jersey in the final days of World War II, a young woman waits in vain for her beloved husband to return from the front. Grace (Nicole Kidman) has been raising her two young children alone in her beautiful, cavernous Victorian mansion, the one place she believes them to be safe. But they are not safe. Not anymore.
When a new trio of servants arrives to replace the crew that inexplicably disappeared, startling events begin to unfold. Grace's daughter reveals she has been seeing and talking with unexplained apparitions that come and go in every room of the house. At first, Grace refuses to believe in her children's scary sightings, but soon, she too begins to sense an intruder is at large.
Who is there? And what do they want from Grace's family? In order to find out, Grace must abandon everything in which she believes and enter the otherworldly heart of the supernatural.
This is one of the best movies that I have seen. The best that I have seen since "Donnie Darko".Nicole Kidman did a great job and the little girl that played Nicole’s daughter is really talented she acted very well. The movie is original and the ending is shocking even though I already knew that the ending will be something like that and from the beginning you can know some of it because of what the kids say in a scene when they are in dinner plus in some of the others conversation you can imagine also what the whole climax will be,so I wasn’t surprised at all because most of the shocking endings that films from today are always the same. Well the directing was great and the movie had some really good suspense that makes you wonder whats going to happen next. The atmosphere of the film made the film looked creepy with all that fog around the house. The conditions that the kids had I thought it was stupid at times even though that illness is true I believe is called “X.P.” they are allergic to light. O.k. so I was surprised with this film because I thought it wasn’t going to be that good as people said but it is good plus it is a really interesting film to watch. The film is kinda like “The sixth sense” like in the atmosphere and directing ,plus “The 6th sense” wich I really don’t like this film it is so boring and it is way overrated I hate it in a sort off way but it does has a interesting plot but it is boring and what I hate the most and dislike is that kid Haley his face is so depressing he always looks like he is about to cry and he looks like a kid that is being mistreat well forget that stupid movie. I would like eveyone to see “The Others” it is good but if you’re the kind of people who is into the sh!t teen horror movies of now today you might hate it so don’t expect to much. The movie could had been better if it had some scary scene that make you go jump and if it had some gore.

Well the ending didn’t really shocked me because I knew something like that was going to happen,well since the beginning I always thought that Nicole’s character "Grace"and her children were really dead but then I ignored my mind and started to think that the people working in the house were the owners of the house and that they were dead and they wanted to get rid of the family . The shoking ending is that the workers of the house are dead and then Grace gets to see the ghosts that her kids talked about but no they are not ghost they are the people who are now leaving in the house and they are invoking the spirit so when they invoke the spirit the old women reveals to Grace and her children that what are they still doing here in the house because they are really dead!!!!!! So then Grace starts screaming that she is not dead over and over again until she remembers that it is true she is dead and that she herself killed her children and that she shot herself! What a good shoking ending people!
T&A: absolutely none but I think it needed some nudity.
Afterall: This is a really horror movie one of the best that I have ever seen. The film is boring but it is really interesting and has a really good twist at the end. A must see for Horror Fans I definetely recommend it!I love it! ;D
