Anjolina Joli and Wynona Ryder were excellent in this powerful drama, which is set in the 1960's in a mental rehabilitation center for women.
It's the story of a young women who is sent to this facilitiy after trying to commit suicide. She soon befriends a group of peers who are dealing with their own major inner problems. They soon come to the understanding, that their real battle is not with themselves, but with world that misunderstands them.
This one was powerful, uplifting, touching, depressing and funny. Every man as well as woman should see it. It's a modern day female version of One Flew Over The Coo Coo's Nest, and the acting was superb!

Hey, that must have been interesting and fun to appear in a play of that great film. I'm only comparing it because there hasn't been a popular drama about woman in an institution after OFOTCCN, plus Joli's character was a bit unpredictable and somewhat wild and dark, a lot like Nicolson's character. The both of them laughed in the face of insanity.
