This flick isn't considered a forgotten favorite, but it is very well igonred. John Carpenters, "The Fog" made its' debut in 1979. For those who don't know, it's the story of a New England town, that is mysteriously terrorized by ghost, that lurks in the fog.
This flick was a bit slow, and everytime a dradfull scene took place, it ended quickly, which pretty much dissapointed me at times, but Carpenter makes up for that with his suspensfull music, and dark imagery, that makes the fog one of the SPOOKIEST, not scariest films of all time.
Wicked!!

We liked it enough to buy on tape years ago. Did think it was spooky and of course he liked Adrienne Barbeau.
