Burnt Offerings

Burnt Offerings made its' debut in 1976. It stars Karen Black Oliver Reed and Betty Davis. It's the story of a family that's tragically torn apart by a demon within their new home.

This flick has everything. It contains horrifying and spooky sequences, mixed with suspense and graphic violence. What I loved so much about this one, is that every one played their role to the t', and Betty Davis was incredible.

You can find this flick on VHS and I beleive DVD.

I saw this when I was very young and it made a big impression on me.  The creepy Burgess Meredith was in it I believe unless I'm mixing it up with the other creepy old movie The Sentinel (why do I think he may have been in both lol).  The old woman with her old fashioned pictures and the falling chimney stand out in my mind.  Actually, because of that chimney scene I tend to look up at our house when I'm outside to make sure ours looks stable lol.  Funny how that stayed with me.

That's hilarious Max! It's been so long since I have seen this, but I beleive Burgess Merideth was in it as well.
