Me and my friends attempted to see The Queen of the Damned tonight and we couldnt get in. GODAMNED THE MPAA!!!! anyways, we finally found a ticket booth that was the office of an idiot that would believe us when we told him we were in our twenties. And the movie was sold out. the next showing was like at eleven thirty, and all my friends have like 11 'oclock curfews, so we couldnt stay... Anyhoo, did any one else see it??? watcha think??? I'm reading The Vampire Chronicals now. We all REALLY wanted to see it, it would have been cool if we had gotten in, we all wore black eye-liner, and nail polish. (We all occasionally enjoy frightening the local small children.)

I remember those days when I had to try and sneak in in order to get into an R rated film. I didn't go see it last night, but I plan on seeing it sometime this weekend.

I always got carded, and I still do. I remember back about 2 summers ago I went to the movies, I forgot what I saw, but it was rated R. Well I was 16 at the time, they let me in only to come in the theater 10 minutes later and start checking everyone's ID and they of course kicked me out.

Yea I got kicked out of South Park Bummer, why dont we all "Blame Canada!!!" You really got to wonder how these theatres make any money when they kick out at least half of the people who put bread on their tables at one point. Anyways... Last night I got in. I havent gotten to the book yet, so maybe thats why I liked it so much. I thought that Stuart Townsed played Lestat brilliantly, and it was a total kick to hear Johnathan Davis' voice come out of him. I also enjoyd the portrayel of Akasha, she seemed so seductive it was amazing. I really Dont get why every one hates this movie, but I loved it. The soundtrack was awesome also, I hope the dvd gets packed with all the goodies that I believe this film deserves.

Cool. I'll see it soon.
I know how they make their money. Because when they let us in then kick us out, (for me anyway) they don't give us back our money. Then we pay again to go see the movie only to have them kick us out again, until we finally manage to get in.

T.G. my days of dragging my mother to horror movies with me are long over. I will definitely see Queen of the Damned eventually because I've read all the Anne Rice books and love them. I just don't understand why they skipped the 2nd book and made a movie of the 1st and 3rd. And I read somewhere they are playing down the black singer who died (can't think of her name) as being a part of death in the promos because they are afraid of offending people. I think that's stupid, she obviously wanted to play the Queen vamp and they should do EVERYTHING possible to promote her performance in it so she would feel proud if that's possible wherever she is

Oh man these books are awesome!!! I just started The Vampire Lestat. From what I gather, portions of TVL is included in the film, I just began reading it so i couldnt confirm, but in the movie there was a 20 min. flashback regarding Marius 'making' and teaching Lestat. Perhaps thats in the book??? I think its wierd how people arnt seeing this movie just because it has Her in it, to me that would be a reason TOO see it, If you liked her. "People are strange" -The Doors Actually in the movie its really cool... (and sadly ironic)She decomposes on screen.

I'm so glad when guys enjoy these books too. It seems like whenever I mention this series to a man his first thought is "Isn't that the gay vampire books?" The average male ego just can't seem to see around the bi-sexual stuff in the books and read them for the great stories and horror they are. I keep telling them - Vampires are AMMORAL, they see humans as food and play things, they don't care what sex a person is, as long as they're beautiful and interesting.

Hell, one of my friends is also reading Interview..., neither one of us are gay. Its one of those things that people judge because they got nothing better to do... too bad, these really are great stories. I also noticed that people consider alot of Clive Barker's stuff homosexual, most of his work is also overlooked.
