Well all you Fulci fans, Zombie is being rereleased by Anchor Bay. It is coming out sometime in early 2002. Sadly, Anchor Bay says there was no way to get a better transfer of this film so what they are going to do is rerelease the exact same ones that they had released a couple years back. I've heard the picture quality is really bad, worse then the VHS even. But I'm still going to check it out. It's the only Fulci zombie film I haven't seen and the only way for me to see it is to get the DVD. Well, it's going to be sold for 14.99. I guess if they wanted, they could have used the VHS's picture for it and placed it on the DVD, if that was a better transfer that is. Also, wasn't there a Region 2 DVD loaded with extras? Or that Laserdisc that was supposed to have a really good picture quality? Oh well, I'll be picking this film up anyway.

Yeah, I have a VCR. I just haven't cared to buy any VHS's for a long time now.

Thanks Freak, but I guess I'm gonna have to stick with my Video Tape version of Zombie though, because i've had it for 8 years.

I was checking out Horrordvds.com and I learned that Media Blasters is releasing Zombie on DVD sometime during the middle of 2002. I know that the Anchor Bay rerelease of Zombie isn't going to be very good at all, and Italian Shock's version may be good, but everything about it is unknown. As for Media Blasters' version, it is going to have an improved picture quality, and it's going to be anamorphic Widescreen. It is also going to be loaded with extras. The only thing I'm not sure yet though is if it'll be uncut or not. I will let y'all know as I learn more though.
