Child's Play -1988 Starring: Catherine Hicks, Chris Sarandon. Director: Tom Holland Date Reviewed: April 5,2002 Review: Child's Play is an excellent slasher movie that introduced Earth to the world of killer dolls. It also introduced us to Chucky, the king of murderous play things.CP has a lot going for it.The story for it's time was highly original and added a very refreshing twist to the slasher genre. It isn't very original anymore due to countless imatations that have followed (Puppet Master,Small Soldiers, etc). The special F/X,though a bit corny compared to some of the advanced F/X these days, are still great. The Chucky F/X are terrific, and to this day I still wonder how he did all those crazy things (imploding house, returning as a burnt zombie doll, etc). The music is also wonderful. It's very suspensful, and adds an additional element of fear. The acting is brilliant. Brad Dourif is devilishly good as the voice of Chucky. The human actors are very convincing as well. And although many people say CP is very funny, beware.Unlike the three sequels that followed, the original CP has plenty of thrills and chills. The beginning and ending sequences really freaked me out when I first saw this. It still does oftentimes. There are some pretty humorous moments too,but CP relies more on scares than humor.Overall, Child's Play is a brilliant slasher movie ! www.carfax-abbey.com/gallery/films/childs2.jpg[/img] It may be a bit childish for some considering that the star of the show is a doll, and gore hounds may be a bit disappointed as the level of gore isn't very high (though some killing scenes are gross, like the voodoo doll sequence and Chucky's demise). Still, this is a slasher flick well worth your time and cash. Buy it! a definetely must have in your horror collection!!! T&A:Sorry Chucky doesn't show his plastc d1ck & @ss Rating:9/10 ;D =excellent

The Evil Dead -1983 Starring: Bruce Campbell, et al. Director: Sam Raimi Review : THE EVIL DEAD is one of the most infamous cult classic horror movies to be made (and it spawned two successful sequels, too). The plot :four college kids rent a cabin deep in the woods of Tennesse for the weekend. They find an old tape recorder in the cabin's basement and decide to listen to it, not knowing that it contains chanting words that will summon the dead spirits of the underworld to rise up and possess the living. They play the the tape and all hell, literally breaks lose. The only one who remains unpossessed is Ash, and now he must arm himself with shotgun and chainsaw and wage battle against his demon-possessed friends in order to survive the night. This movie is definitley not for those who have weak stomachs because it is graphically violent and very intense.Anyhow, I like it is my #1 fav. so it kicked "the exorcist "@ass to #2 hehehe on my list.I recommend it to horror fans everywhere this is a must see for horror fans i love this movie! Rating: 9/10 ;D=excellent

Donnie Darko -2001 Starring: Jake Gyllenhaal,Jena Malone & Drew Barrymore Website:www.donniedarko.com REVIEW: This movie is amazing .I don't really know what type of movie is this because it has drama,sci-fi,horror,mystery,thriller etc...But is more of a "psychological drama".Kudos to Drew Barrymore for having the guts to produce (and star in) this bizarre, engrossing, and powerful tale when Hollywood obviously wouldn't.Jake Gyllenhaal gives a wonderful performance as the title character, who sees visions of a giant man in a bunny costume, and carries out acts of vandalism as a result. He is joined by an all-star cast, including Patrick Swayze, Jena Malone, Noah Wyle, and of course Barrymore, who all have little subplots within the film. Donnie Darko is a shattering, hypnotic work that sets its own terms, as it turns out that a viewer will stay aboard for the full ride.Jena Malone & Jake Gyllenhaal are awesome after this movie they have become my fav. actor and actress!I must say the ending is confusing but I read about this movie and now I understand it i'm not going to say what happens b.c. I don't want to spoil it for all of you. See this movie it is "BEAUTIFUL & BRILLIANT"! Two toes up! I hardly recommend this check it out . T&A :None of nudity Rating: 8/10 =Good

Soul Survivors-2001 cast: Melissa Sagemiller, Wes Bentley REVIEW:One night four friends; Cassie, Annabel, Matt, and Sean, are out driving home from a party. They have had a little bit to drink and Cassie and Sean are angry with one another because of something that happened earlier that night. Soon they are in a horrible car accident and Sean is killed. Now Cassie must deal with her loss as her friends, Annabel and Matt, try to help her out. Eventually things start to go wrong as Sean seems to have returned from beyond the grave and is making contact with Cassie. Matt and Annabel are acting strange, and now there seems to be a group of madmen after Cassie. The world of living has truly crossed over with the world of the dead. The movie starts out with Cassie and her friends getting into a car accident. Soon Cassie is seeing visions of things. She sees Sean, she sees herself bleeding when she's not, and quite a bit of other things as well. As the film progresses we learn that Cassie really can't trust anyone, though she does find a friend in a priest named Jude, who is played by Luke Wilson. Though things still really aren't what they seem, even around Jude. One minute Cassie will be perfectly fine, then the next she is being chased by a crazed madman, only to find that once she gets out in the open the madman is gone. All this continues until the films shocking ending. I don't really recommend it!!! Rating: 5/10 =Decent

Carrie (1976) Cast: Sissy Spacek, Piper Laurie REVIEW: Carrie" is one heck of a movie. It's horror and drama all wrapped up in one. Sissy Spacek plays the timid Carrie White, a girl who is tormented by her classmates, and abused by her religious fanatic mother, Margaret (Piper Laurie). No one likes her, except for her gym teacher Miss Collins (Betty Buckley), but after a terrible prank in the girls locker room, one of the pranksters, Sue Snell (Amy Irving) feels sorry for what she did and asks her popular football player jock boyfriend Tommy (William Katt) to ask Carrie to the prom. He agrees and for once, the audience is happy for Carrie, seeing she is having a great time at the prom, but the evil Chris Hargenson (Nancy Allen) decides to pull a prank on Carrie that proves all too deadly. This film is fantastic. It is a cross between drama (the first half) and complete horror (the second half). The weird thing is, you really do feel sorry for Carrie! The way she is tormented by her classmates and her mother is awful, but the viewer knows about her new "powers" and she really makes use of them during that prom! By the way, in case anyone is confused by this, Carrie was imagining her classmates laughing at her, they really weren't. Based on the novel by Stephen King, it spawned numerous imitations and was followed by a sequel 23 years later.A must see I really recommend it! Rating: 9/10 ( I would had give it a 8 but i really like this film is my all-time favorite and i know some scenes are sort of boring overall i love it!!!!)

Deep in the Woods -2000 "Take a walk in the woods, justlike "Red riding hood",if the wolf is there run away so scared" RATING: 7= Good CAST: Clotilde Coureau/Sophie Clement Sibonie/Matthieu Vincent Lecoeur/Wilfried Alexia Stresi/Jeanne DIRECTED BY: Lionel Delplanque RUNTIME: 90 minutes DATE REVIEWED: April 15,2002 WEBSITE: www.promenonsnous-lefilm.com/Review: A group of young actors are hired by a reclusive millionaire to put on a performance of "Little Red Riding Hood" for his disturbed grandson. When they arrive at the palatial estate, the performers learn that a serial rapist is loose in the area. Restless in the secluded mansion the troupe burns off some steam by exploring the wooded grounds, but their tedium soon turns to terror as members of their group begin to disappear. One by one, the elusive killer stalks the young performers and viciously murders them. When it first started it gives you the impression that there might be some supernatural to it, but later on some guy goes around in a wolf custume killing off the young actors. The movie starts off slow. The first 25 to 30 minutes are really just getting to know the characters better . There's a hint of something strange going on with the mansion owner and his son when they are introduced. I am surprised of this film.Is better than I expected it.It is really good.I like how it was directed. The way the director captures the moon reflecting off the dark mansion was very pleasing to the eye. The director did a great job keeping the movie dark. I liked how the killer with the wolf mask would blend into the dark shadows of the mansion. The flick also has one of the best set ups I’ve seen in a while. I had no idea where this film was going and that’s always thrilling in itself. The opening murder sequence is realy cool I also like the murdered in the bathroom really cool too . I'm sure a lot of you guys here would like is the excellent lesbo-scene. Expect lots of full frontal in this movie. The movie has a very strong sexual energy. Everybody seems like they want to fvck everybody else. There’s lots of sexual tension going around (I even felt it), some homosexual undertones and a scene that could have easily gotten to the “gang bang” stage. Then you have the “Red Riding Hood” theme that’s constant throughout the flick "Take a walk in the woods, justlike "Red Riding Hood",if the wolf is there run away so scared".The cast is really SEXY though The acting was good. This movie is so good already seen it 4 times! We get nails in the throat, acid in face, a wonderful booby trap kill and lots more good huh. T&A=Oh I love the French!A lot of breasts, female frontal nudity (it’s true the French don’t trim) and even a lesbian scene for us guys ! Well the gals will see Vincent Lecoeur naked during a sex scene and you get to see his Butt and his muscles . Afterall: “Deep in the Woods’ is a stylized slasher treat with a French aftertaste.Im glad to have this movie in my collection The death scenes are cool, good acting & cast. The wolf costume is sweet! I enjoy this film alot my #1 favorite right now! I highly recommend this SLASHER to Slasher Fans! ENJOY IT GUYS!
