As much as I LOVE camp slashers, I have to pick Halloween.

I had to go with Halloween as well. I loved every Halloween movie except part 3. I like most of the Friday the 13ths, but some just weren't that good. As for Freddy, I have the box set on DVD and I love every one of them, but after the first one they just aren't that serious anymore.

I picked Friday the 13th series because Halloween 3,4,5 suck!

Didn't like part 4!? My god, I think that was the best sequel to it.

I chose a Nightmare on Elm St.
The first Halloween is my fave movie, but as a series, the Nightmare on Elm Street movies entertained me the most.

It's amazing, how fast a hororr icon can stay in the dark and be scary, then turn into a stand up comic

That's Freddy's shtick...he's the horror king of the oneliners.
I think the comedy element adds a little light charm to the movies. I enjoy it.

I picked Halloween because it's definitely got the best original movie. Also, the sequels are quite good. The other series are both good, as well, though.

I'd have to go with Nightmare on Elm St just because of Freddy, he's one horror icon that has been burned into my head since I was a child. That and I like horror movies with comedy elements.
