is there any new news about the prequel yet.  im really looking forward to this film.

heres what i know so far:
it is a prequel, that deals with father merrins first exorcism in africa, it also will take place in germany around WWII with nazis.  the kid from Dawsons Creek and The Forsaken will be playing Merrin
Liam Neeson is also slated to have a small part.
does anyone know when it will be released or who will be directing...possibly Friedkin??

I'm not really looking forward to this, I only liked the original Exorcist.  As far as I know it's supposed to come out in 2003 and it's directed by John Frankenheimer.

we know liam neesan is in there we know the director if the manchurian candidate is in charge, yes it will follow father merin on his first fight with the devil as stated in the original movie, in africa.

im not hoping much for this one
