I was watching OuterMax last night and I noticed Night of the Living Dead was on. I hadn't watched that movie in a while so I figured I'd check it out. Well I only caught the last 30 minutes of it. Well I noticed that towards the end it showed a reporter. I was like "that looks like Debbie Rohon" but it can't be because she wouldn't have been alive when the movie came out. Then I noticed all these whacked scenes that were never in the original, including a different ending. I then realized I was watching the 30th Anniversary edition that was released on DVD a while back. This was absolute trash. They removed all the tension from the original classic with these new scenes and I couldn't help but be angry at how they can ruin such a classic. These scenes were shot 30 years after the original movie, and they don't fit in well at all. The way it ends would mean there wouldn't be a Dawn of the Dead or Day of the Dead. But it does leave it open for Children of the Living Dead, which is a horrible movie that wanted to be a sequel to Night of the Living Dead. Well it's a sequel to this trash. People need to leave the classics alone. There was no point in adding new scenes 30 years later.

I have the DVD and I really dont mind the added scenes. They do kind of fuck up the pace of the movie a little though. I really hated the ending, the actor that played the priest was horrable! The DVD has the option of watching the original version with a remastered soundtrack, or watching the 30th anniversary version.

it would of been a great release if the silly cu-ts left the original soundtrack as stardard.

It's a good thing that new Millennium Edition has been released. I hear that one is the best Night of the Living Dead out there. I plan on getting it soon. After that I'll be done buying NOTLD on DVD. 8)

I agree, whats the purpose of buying dozens of rereleases on DVD when It seems to get worse every time but Millenium Edition was a exception.
