Its Doc Benway here and I was wondering if you all would like to participate in a horror film survey!
You are all horror film fanatics, that much is clear, but I would like to ask you a few deep questions of which I think the results could be very fascinating.
This questionare is designed to question horror film steriotypes and illuminate the true psychological and sociological implications of the horror film and its fans...
1. Age, Sex, City State Country you live in
2. Do you think that more men or women are killed in horror films? Which sex do you prefer to see killed?
3. Do you think that most horror films feature sexual violence? (Ex-victim attacked or killed during or after sexual activity)
4. Which sex enjoys horror films more. men or women? Why?
5. Do you more often empathize with the victims or side with the killer?
6. Why do you love horror films? What is your past experiences with them? How often do you watch them?
Thanks everyone-Peace and Love The Doc

1. 27, Male, Alexandria, VA. USA 2. I think it's pretty even. I have no preference. 3. Yes, I think most horror films feature sexual violence. 4. Men. Maybe it's a control issue. And they're never boring and rarely corny. 5. I side with the killer. 6. "They're never boring and rarely corny." And I must admit to a jealousy towards some of the "cool" and sexually active characters. Well, anyone with a successful relationship. Mine went bad. (I don't get out enough)They're usually the victims. I've been obsessed with horror since I was ten. I watch at least part of one everyday.

1. 17, male, Alabama. 2. I think that it's a pretty even amount of who gets killed and who doesn't. I personally don't care whether it's a male or a female that's getting killed. 3. Yes. 4. That is a difficult answer. Both males and females enjoy horror, it all just depends on the person. 5. It depends on the movie. In slashers I'm siding with the killers. In movies like Evil Dead or Phantasm I'm on the hero's side. 6. I love horror because it's what I can relate to I guess. I like things on the more morbid side. I listen to music that is dark and I prefer my movies to be the same way. I have been a horror fan pretty much all my life. I rarely can get into any other kind of film. I watch at least 1 horror movie a day.

1 Close enough to 16, Irving/Texas/ US 2 I think that the species of large breasted blonds are killed more often in horror. I prefer it that way "Run!!!" 3 For the most part yes. I actually enjoy a little "Lust" murder in a good movie. 4 I think we manly men prefer horror. 5 I guess I kind of side with the killer. Reason below. 6 I have loved the macbre as far back as i can remember, I remember in the third grade I got in trouble for reading Pet Semetary in school. Even then it was a good book!!! I watch or read something in the horror genre daily. I watch these movies for many reasons, the prodominent would have to be because of my history and how fun it can be to watch someone else become a victim. I have also always been a little unpoular and I went All through elementary and middle school without really being social. I am a reject, and a perfect example of a rectum of socioty. Sometimes, When I watch these movies, It becomes easy for me to see the people being attacked as those preppy people who used to make fun of me for being wierd. I find a great deal of release in these movies, its like they create a world I escape to when everything sucks that bad. They are my life and the greatest stress relievers I have come across.

1. adult female, New England 2. Women. Women (ie, the bitch, the slut). 3. absolutely, sex and violence go together in horror movies imo. But occasionally there's a good one without it. 4. mostly men who enjoy violence for entertainment imo, but there's a few of us females out here too. 5. Scary's response is how I feel. Many heroes (male & female) I side with, but with the classic slash movie I'm more for the killer.
6. I love the wild imagination of some of the writers. Exciting and horrifying at the same time. I watch one new one a week probably. But I read a lot more than I watch now. Horror/fantasy/scifi/erotic novels and adult comics give me great pleasure. Been into it since the days of Creature Double Feature Saturday afternoon as a young child in the 70's.
