Well, I guess sequels are made out of the bad or decent movies. Now, if you have a great movie I guess they go all out and plan a trilogy releasing parts 2 and 3 at the same time. 
Oh well, from what I've heard "Ginger Snaps 2: The Curse" and "Ginger Snaps 3: The Addiction" are being made side by side and it looks like they are shooting for an October release. It is likely that none of the original cast members will be in the new films, and I am assuming that calling it Ginger Snaps will be a name only title because we all know that Ginger won't return for these films, but then again you never know what they would do. The directors of the next 2 films say they are taking the same approach with the humor of the first film, though I really didn't find the original very funny, and they are going to add more horror to it.
If you've seen my review of Ginger Snaps, then you know that I consider this one of the best films of 2001 and possible the best werewolf movie to be released ever. This film wasn't scary, it was more disturbing. The film made you feel for the characters only to leave you with a sick and depressed feeling after it ended. If you haven't seen Ginger Snaps, then go see it! Anyway, I'll check out these sequels when they come out, but I don't think I can keep from comparing them to the original film. Hopefully they do it right.
