Since FX plays old episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer now, I just watched this episode where Oz returns. It was in season 4, and Oz takes Willow outside under a full moon and doesn't become a werewolf. I didn't get to watch all of the episode, so how did he not change into a werewolf? Was he cured or something?

It's been a while since I've seen that episode. I dont have FX, but I do remember it. While Oz was away, he learned an art of like self awareness or something like that. He made it so he could controll his transformations. At the end of the episode, always assuming that I'm thinking of the same one you are, Oz meets up with Tara.... just in case...spoiler... She (Tara) goes up to meet Oz or something. (Right after she made love to willow) and Oz smells Willow on her and figures it out. It makes him loose his controll and he turns into the werewolf... I think he attacked Tara, And nearly killed her. Some way or another they got him human again. Then he realizes that he cant stay because he came for willow, and she has her own love. To bad, he was really cool. ;D I

Ok, cool. Thanks I think I remember it now. I haven't seen that entire episode since it first aired 2 years ago. So I didn't remember much of it.

I got the feeling that he had gone to learn some Budda tricks or something to control his animal side. But of course he lost it when he smelled Willow on Tara. I just LOVED that part! And if I remember it correctly, it was before they had actually shown the 2 women together as a real "couple". And I thought he didn't stay because he realized he didn't have himself under control as much as he thought he did and secondly because Willow chose Tara over him. It was a great ep also because it showed Riley that not all supernatural creatures are bad. Riley rescued him I believe.
