The Fly one and two, were two of the best horror movies, which concluded the 80's, an era in horror, which I think can never be forgotten. What I admired the most out of both films, is that the two movies revolved around the same story, in continuation yet; they were very much diffrent, allowing the audience to enjoy two gory science fiction films in two ways. It would all be so hard to say which one was better, because from looking at part 2, the violence and gore only got worse through and through, which almost makes it a rated R Mini series for theaters. Jeff Goldblum was wicked, and so was Erick Stoltz. The special effects in two could make your skin crawl, for real. It would be hard to beleive that neither of you gouls have seen these two flicks, but if you haven't, please see it. They were true monster movies.

I'm a big fan of these movies too. And just like the Terminator movies, I'm not sure which one I actually enjoyed more. I've always liked Jeff Goldblum (he was good in Jurassic Park) and though I'm not really a fan of Eric Stoltz, he played the part of "SON OF THE FLY" lol really well. I felt truly sorry for him being raised like a lab rat and being manipulated and eventually losing control over his body (through no fault of his own), whereas the attitude of Goldblum's character made him less sympathetic. But I loved the part where he spit on the guy's hand and disolved it. And I thought it was cool that they brought his character into the sequel so he could meet the son. But I actually don't remember what happened to Gina Davis' character? She died giving birth right? And I came dangerously close to crying when he discovered the dog being kept alive as a horribly deformed creature. I don't think I will ever watch that scene again

Max, this is so true. The scene with the dog is not easy to watch. I was caught between two emotions, for one I was deeply sad, and angry. man does horrible things to animals. The scene alone was so realistic, which is why I give this flick a super a++. It could take you back to the classic horror scene in The Wolf Man with Lon Chaney, when his dad had to kill him the silver cane. Sorrow mixed with horror, you can't beat that.
I'm glad the evil Dr. ended up the same as the dog in the end.

after watching the first one, i actually puked on all of my food before I ate it...Just kidding ;D This movie is highly underrated, i especially love how it also contains a kind of love story to it. Yea, I'm a wimp, but thats the same reason i like The Crow so much. The second one was pretty cool too, but the acting irritated me a little bit.
