Well, I've been watching them on FX for the past week or so, and they were playing the episode's Becoming and Becoming part 2. I noticed that there are hints to come in these old episodes. For instance Spike was helping Buffy in season 2 to try and get rid of Angel. But his reason there was so he could get Drusilla back for himself. Also I noticed that Willow was using magic back then. I had pretty much forgotten all these things since it's been years since I've seen those episodes. Anyway, I just thought it was pretty cool how they were hinting and future seasons way back in season 2.

I have read several times that Joss has story arcs set for future seasons years in advance so I'm not surprised that watching old ones again a person can see references to things to come. The guy really is a writing genius.

i've read the same thing max had. joss is a genius, imo. it is fun to see something in an old episode and see how it "hints" at things to come. i'm still impressed with the whole dawn story line. at first, i was so damn irritated with the dawn character, and why she suddenly was there, but it turned out to be one of the best story lines of the entire show.
