Angel 11/12/01

Spoilers for those of you who haven't seen it.

Did this episode remind y'all of the episode of Buffy last year when that group of guys tried to get Dawn?  Well this episode of Angel reminded me of that.  This season is taking off very quickly.  Normally Joss waits until the end of the season and would let us see what's up with the baby, but next week the baby will be born.  Darla is about to have her baby so Angel and the rest all go to the hospital to get the stuff so they can help her.  That vampire cult reminded me of those people who tried to kill the Key.  Wolfram and Hart always tries to step in the way so.  I was glad to see that dude from Angel and Darla's past take care of Wolfram and Hart's gang.

Next week's episode should be very interesting.  The baby will be born.  It should be an interesting next few weeks.  I still want to know what this baby is supposed to be like.  And from the preview the baby looked like a normal kid.

When the demon told the "past" guy that the only payment he wanted was that he show Angelus no mercy, it made me think (re-inforced by next week's preview) that he will have a change of heart when he sees the 3 of them looking like a normal family after the human-like souled baby is born.  If that's the case and he does show them mercy, I just hope that the Powers To Be step in and save him from the demon's wrath somehow because we have to remember that he's been driven to this by revenge on Angelus for killing his family and is probably not really an evil man.  He probably doesn't even know about Angel's soul.  Just my thoughts and I could be entirely wrong.  I laughed out loud when Darla declared herself to be Switzerland, guess that country will never live it down from WWII lol.

i can't wait for next week's ep.
i wonder how this angel and darla 'family' will affect cordy and angel's not-yet-but-maybe-soon-to-be-budding romance.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cordy gives Angel a hard time for a long time.  She is such a hard-assed woman, which is a good thing for the show so they can draw it out long.
